I partake in amateur astronomy. I have a beginner telescope that I use when camping (often on fishing trips). Interestingly enough, astronomy uses many optical principles used in interferometry!

In my spare time I sometimes enjoy oil painting. I am by no means an expert, but love a good Bob Ross landscape.

Before engineering I was a Division I baseball player. I even played with/against some big leaguers (Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant to name two!) but still very much enjoy watching.
